The Paulinskill Valley Trail and the Sussex Branch Trail are part of
KittatinnyValleyState Park. The tracks have been removed from these rail trails, leaving a pleasant cinder bed path. Except at a few road crossings, the trails are level and offer easy walking, cycling, and horseback riding.  Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended as there are occasional muddy areas. Bring water and a trail snack.  Hikes are usually 7 to 10 miles in length, although if the group is diverse in fitness level adjustments in the length of the hike are considered. See the "Directions" section of our website.  www.pvtc-kvsp.org
