The Paulinskill Valley Trail Committee
The Paulinskill Valley Trail (27 miles) and the Sussex Branch Trail (20 miles) are part of Kittatinny Valley State Park. The tracks have been removed from these rail trails, leaving a pleasant cinder bed path. Except at a few road crossings, the trails are level and offer easy walking, cycling, and horseback riding. Anyone interested in nature or railroad history will enjoy using these two rail trails.
The PVTC publishes "The Signal" newsletter two times a year. The Signal usually contains interesting historical stories about various parts of the Paulinskill Valley Trail and Sussex Branch Trail.
The PVTC schedules hikes/XC skiing/horse back riding/bike tours, and other group events through out the year. Generally, events begin at at the telephone number on the "Contact Us" webpage.
Directions and maps for event meeting locations may be found within the Directions section of this Web site.
Several times each year, the Sussex County Trail Partnership Committee working with the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce organize trail work details in conjunction with Kittatinny Valley State Park staff.
You do not have to be a PVTC member to work but as a member you will receive, via email, the information once we are notified of a work date.
